The InstaSafe Secure Access (ISA) Solution is based on the OpenVPN protocol. The traffic tunneling is established using Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS), X509 PKI (InstaSafe CA server) is used for digitally signing certificates and session authentication, TLS 1.2 for key exchange, AES-256 bit encryption for encrypting tunnel data and 160-bit HMAC-SHA1 algorithm for authenticating tunnel data.
